To Change Or Not To Change

To Change Or Not To Change

The truth of the matter is information gathering happens in our conscious mind. This is where we gather information, listen to music or information, and we think, “Wow. Cool stuff. This is fabulous!” We feel excited, and then tomorrow we will have forgotten 90% of what we have heard, because that’s the way we have been conditioned. When we were children, we would sit in the classroom and gather information for tests, then we take the test and forget it. Did you know that your conscious thoughts are responsible for approximately 2-4 percent of your results. And your subconscious or habitual way of thinking and behaving is responsible for 96% to 98% of your results?

What a scary thought?

The brain gathers information at the conscious level in the frontal lobe of the head during beta brain frequency. In order for us to move the information from the conscious to subconscious and create REAL change, we must impress that information on the subconscious by repetition. We can do this through written, auditory, visual, or experiential ways. This is why affirmations, vision boards and hypnotherapy messages works so well.

It’s the implicit memory system or subconscious level where your habits live. Habits are thousands of times more powerful then desires. So your desire a CHANGE, you make your intention, your start to will the change but that is only a part of the equation.

There are 3 other parts to the equation:

1. You must have the right knowledge and/or in the right order.

2. You must have the instruction of what to do with it. For example, I can tell you that you need Aweber to build a list, but if you don’t receive the information on how to grow a list, you will fail.

3. You must “use or utilize” the information in life. You must take action on the information. Surround yourself in an environment that holds you accountable to your new behavior.

Through the repetition and environmental changes, we start to accelerate CHANGE in life. In fact we even start to think and behave differently.

I’m committed to learning how to change from the inside out so we can hold a vision that shifts our beliefs and behaviors.

That’s how change happens.

Your Homework:

1. Look at how you receive and repeat valuable information.

2. Make a habit of seeing (vision boards), hearing (audio programs) and experiencing (taking action) new thoughts and habits.

The Light of Life

My mother died earlier this month. Deep breath. I wanted to share with you sooner, but didn’t feel I had the energy to authentically share as a tribute to her life.

Some of you had heard about her illness with Lou Gehring’s disease which was discovered last July. For those that haven’t, here’s the short version. We learned about the terminal illness in August when my mom had already lost the ability to talk and then soon after the ability to swallow — of course she continued to communicate by writing every single word. Now, here’s the kicker… my mom was diagnosed with cancer of the liver in December 2009. I guess that was her way to end the suffering faster and follow the path set out for her.

I share this today as a tribute to her life (and ours).

My mom threw herself fully into raising me and my sister. And the love both me and my sister ran very deep. She really was self-less and wanted to give us everything that she missed as a child. She was very active in our lives. She was my Girl Scout leader and encourage me to pursue every dream including being a batonist in parades and the Washington D.C. Cherry Blossom princess for the state. I became who I am because of her and my amazing father.

This journey through her illness has spread a lot of light in my life. And although I already know that I am following my divine path as a business coach and mentor, it really got me thinking. I began to look at life in a different way. I have started to be very, very present about everything — from my family, home to yoga and business. And things are being reveal to me like never before. I see things that I haven’t seen before. And I believe this is a gift from my mother.

Today, I want to invite you to open your eyes to the light (and life). Enjoy the sweet kiss from your daughter, the fur on your pet, the sweet phone call from a friend. Enjoy those things that you have been missing because you have been too obsessed about something completely insignificant.

Here’s to your “life” success!

Please enjoy these videos of my mom and daughter taken just one year ago Thanksgiving.

wealth from within

wealth from within

As an entrepreneurial mentor, I found that many clients were crippled by the fear of not being good enough. I started to teach them tools to become more focused and present to overcome their fear and increase their self-esteem and confidence. This worked for some, but not all.

I worked with others on how they can love and honor themselves in the now, so the idea of unworthiness would never be an option. Again, this worked for some as well.

And then someone entered my world that was very different. She ran a multi-million dollar firm. One day she told me that she knew without a shadow of doubt that 80-90% of her financial success was due to her faith, confidence and beliefs. 90% of her wealth was due to her mindset? No — her belief system.

This caused the wheels in my mind to turn. Hmmm… so the other 10% was knowledge and 90% mindset/internal patterns?

I began to play with the mindset of success and look at it differently. When I say “play,” I mean extreme study.

So, what does contribute to the mindset of success? How can we REALLY identify with past patterns and embrace LIFE change?

I stopped bringing up past beliefs and started identifying how to change subconscious systems from the outside in and the inside out.

I believe it starts with these four areas of our lives:

1. External Environment: This includes your external environment. The people you know, the television you watch, your friends and their habits, and your family. It’s your job to choose what you pull in with your five senses from the external world.

2. Habits and Behaviors: What do you currently do that has been created in your life thus far. Your habits and behaviors must be in alignment (or in harmonious vibration) with your goals and dreams. Habits may include taking inspired, persistent, focused action and causing a massive impact or they may include obsessive game playing, watching t.v. and drinking with friends.

3. Energy Tool: What success and energetic tools do you put into place to manage your mindset, business and life? Do you use meditation, yoga, tai chi or walking?

4. Faith: The more you can feel as if the vision or dream is already yours and be a peace with what you want to attract, the more you will resonate with what you are.

So Much Happiness

It is difficult to know what to do with so much happiness.
With sadness there is something to rub against,
a wound to tend with lotion and cloth.
When the world falls in around you, you have pieces to pick up,
something to hold in your hands, like ticket stubs or change.
But happiness floats.
It doesn’t need you to hold it down.
It doesn’t need anything.
Happiness lands on the roof of the next house, singing,
and disappears when it wants to.
You are happy either way.
Even the fact that you once lived in a peaceful tree house
and now live over a quarry of noise and dust
cannot make you unhappy.
Everything has a life of its own,
it too could wake up filled with possibilities
of coffee cake and ripe peaches,
and love even the floor which needs to be swept,
the soiled linens and scratched records…..
Since there is no place large enough
to contain so much happiness,
you shrug, you raise your hands, and it flows out of you
into everything you touch. You are not responsible.
You take no credit, as the night sky takes no credit
for the moon, but continues to hold it, and share it,
and in that way, be known.

Freedom Factor : Fearless Living

Freedom Factor : Fearless Living

Have you ever wondered why so many entrepreneurs FEEL “stuck” making the same income year after year?

Could it be … that we are standing in our own way?

Yesterday I was reading and relaxing on my hammock when, Susie, one of my V.I.P mentoring clients called. She quietly said, “Jen, you won’t believe what I just attracted.” Turns out she was invited to be a guest on the “Wake Up with Whoopi” show. This was this 3rd call of this kind I received from her. She is an attraction magnet!

Let me give you a little background about Susie…

Three months ago, Susie, would have rejected anything that was more than 40 bucks. Well, maybe a little more than that. Maybe 100 bucks, but you see what I am getting at. It didn’t matter what service or product if it was over a certain amount – she wasn’t interested. Basically, she wanted to grow her business at zero cost. She was treating her business like a home-based hobby. I taught her what my mentors taught me – The Art Of Zero Resistance so she could see visible opportunities are flowing like no tomorrow.

I learned Zero Resistance from Maxwell Maltz and Bob Proctor. Though their words are different, the approach is the same. In my words, it’s about listening to your inspirations, making swift decisions (committed decisions) and taking immediate action. You do all that before the dragons of fear, doubt or anxiety creeps in.

The Short Version: How to practice Zero Resistance

When something comes to you the first questions should not be “How much”, but “Do I want this in my life”, and “Is it a part of my vision”? If the answer is, “Yes.” Then you make the decision to do and then take immediate action. Just go before the dragons enter into your head! Seriously. In other words, go with your gut. It is simple to understand, but my not be easy to implement. What do you think?

Zero Resistance does take practice. An all day practice of listening to the mind. Try it! And plan to keep moving!

Peaceful Business Growth

Peaceful Business Growth

Last Thursday, I was coaching a client that was overwhelmed with the fear of not making enough money for all his business to pay for his life expenses. I can’t even express in words how strong his emotions were.

Let’s just say… lots of anger, fear and terror towards himself and others.

It was much more than feelings of lack. It was outright… “omigod, I am going to lose the clothes on my back” feeling and I can’t believe God is doing this to me.

Now, before I go on… let me tell you a little bit of history about this client.

He has three employees, his business sometimes brings in revenues of over 100k a month, however when it doesn’t achieve or exceed that amount, he goes into this “omigod, I am going to lose the clothes on my back” feeling.

He is always on an emotional business wealth roller coaster because he goes through such emotional highs and lows. It’s a chicken or the egg scenario.

Did the external appearance come first or his internal shift of emotions?

When clients have such strong emotions of overwhelm whether it’s fear or physical “stuff to do” they can’t create abundance as easily and quickly because their energy isn’t open to receive.

My advice as your Law of Attraction Business Coach:

Design your own energy tool and reminder system around “being present”.

Fear and overwhelm are clear signs of not living in the moment. You are worrying, stressing, resisting or struggling with the future.

The Energy Tool for Being Present

First, come into the presence place in the “now” moment. Check out your internal weather. What does it feel like inside your body? Your breath, your lungs, your mental energy.

Second, draw any scattered energy into your center, as if there was a ball of light attracting it.

Third, ask yourself/the universe… “What needs to happen now?”

Fourth, the universe always provides an answer. Write down what you hear.

Five, take a deep breath to integrate.

Sixth, do that one thing you received while you were open.

Lastly, rinse and repeat as needed.

This tool is available to you when you need it. So, take a breath of relief and enjoy!
